OCSCB Internship Opportunities

OCSCB is currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers and interns in Orange County who want experience working in a conservation-based nonprofit organization. We are looking for individuals who are able to commit for at least a 6 months to 1-year. These positions are unpaid, but are good experience, and are for a great cause!

Newport Bay Bayview Slope Restoration Research

Learn to identify local plants, survey our restoration site, and survey our invasive plant removal plots. Apply for additional research funding. Assist in setting up future restoration research projects. Help collect, analyze, and present data. This position requires a commitment of 2-5 hours* a week.

Laguna Coast Wilderness Mammal Monitoring

Track the use and usefulness of mammal migration corridors located near Laguna Canyon. Wildlife motion detection cameras will be used to monitor and analyze the movement patterns of large mammals including bobcats, coyote, and deer. Help collect, analyze, and present data. This position requires a commitment of 2-5 hours* a week. Membership Coordinator The OCSCB Membership Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and recruiting members. This position will require someone who can attend all OCSCB events, who will actively recruit members at and between events, who will follow up with membership renewal, who will maintain the membership spreadsheet, and who will assemble a new member package including event information and a t-shirt. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and good organizational skills. This position requires a commitment of 2-5 hours* a week.

Grants, Funding, and Sponsorship Coordinator

The Grants, Funding, and Sponsorship Coordinator will search for grants, funding, and sponsorship opportunities. Additionally, he/she will assist in developing, strategizing, implementing and coordinating fundraising. This position requires a commitment of 2-5 hours* a week. The Grants, Funding, and Sponsorship Coordinator will support and work with our Treasurer.
